Welcome to my first ever blog! sit tight it might be a bumpy one…
My behaviour as a consumer is the main topic of my first blog.However I will divulge a little about myself first. I’m a fashion promotion and communications student at the University of South Wales. I’m based in Cardiff, I’ve been living here for a few months now and I have to say its hard on my bank living so close to the shops!
So let us get into it, one of the main focuses of mine when shopping is the shopping experience itself, a pet peeve that I have is chaos and mess when i’m shopping for something in particular. How is one meant to find the outfit they didn’t know they needed if the shop is like a jumble sale, (don’t get me wrong I love a jumble sale, but there’s a time and a place.) an example of this is Zara, the quality of the clothes is in a league of its own for the price its offered at. yet the shop itself is like a puzzle, trying to find the rail that a particular top came from because its in a random spot, but its not to be found in your size because ion the mess.
I myself am a fan of online shopping, its been made easier and even more practical for us to order our clothes at the click of a button (without the chaos and mess of some stores). Seeing everything we could possibly want all in one place. I do have to be very careful as i’m sure everyone does, not to fall down the rabbit hole of buying hundreds of things I absolutely do not need and absolutely cannot afford. over the years I have built up resilience and a strong technique to not do myself out of money… this is to get onto the site, apply filters to the specific thing I need and get out as quickly as possible, this is a technique I strongly recomend to others.
